What the reform actually says

The obligation is event-driven, not date-driven — that is the confusion this page exists to clear up.

An already-registered vehicle changes nothing until its first sale: the new model is issued at the ownership transfer.
The only firm deadline — 31 December 2026 — concerns old international-format plates, and only for driving abroad.
Since 3 August 2026, every new registration and import automatically receives the new single model.
